The city of Pensacola is home to many significant tennis events throughout the year. Most notably, the Pensacola Open Wheelchair Tournament is held every April at the Roger Scott Tennis Center. This expansive public club is a recreational facility owned by the City of Pensacola and also the Racquet Round-Up and the Pink Ribbon Tennis Tournament.
The Top Gun Invitational is one of the premier youth soccer tournaments in the state and is held in the fall. The annual event hosted by Pensacola Samba is for boys and girls and brings soccer players and their families to the vibrant city of Pensacola each year for competitive soccer play. In addition to this popular soccer tournament, Pensacola features a strong community of soccer players that play at the Ashton Brosnaham Sportsplex. It is a 110-acre park that features a soccer stadium, nine regulation-size soccer fields, picnic area with covered pavilion and a playground.
Exchange Softball Park in Pensacola, Florida, has four fields that has both slow-pitch and fast-pitch tournaments throughout the year. Most notably, the park hosts a Senior Softball tournament each May. Don't forget to check out the upcoming schedule of softball games at University of West Florida and Pensacola Junior College if you can't get enough of the excitement.
Held in March, Lizardfest is a competititve volleyball event sponsored by Volleyball Pensacola. Each of the tournament games are held at different venues in Pensacola, which allows players and their guests to enjoy the beautiful city in between games.
The Greater Pensacola Aquatic Club works with all levels of swimmers to instill life values and skills as taught through the sport of competitive swimming. This level of excellence is certainly on display each January during the renowned GPAC Swim Meet.
Baseball is a big thing in Pensacola and it's evident during the Boys' Baseball World Series held in July. You're also invited to cheer on the Argonauts of the University of West Florida baseball team throughout the regular season.
