    Join us in February for the third largest Mardi Gras celebration in the country, behind those in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Mobile, Alabama. For five days each Mardi Gras season, Pensacola’s streets are filled with parades, beads, merrymaking, and people having an amazing town.     Toast to your Irish heritage during the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in Pensacola. Every year on March 17, people of all ages flock to all areas of the city, including the beach and our historic downtown area, to take part in celebrations and parties. One popular event that takes place every year is the McGuire's St. Patrick's Day 5K Run, which starts and finishes at the acclaimed McGuire's Irish Pub.     The Crawfish Festival is one of the largest crawfish boils in the state. This three-day festival takes place in late April-early May and is held at the waterfront in Bartram Park in downtown Pensacola.     Kickstart the Summer & Honor Our Veterans at the Memorial Day Celebration. While Memorial Day weekend does mark the beginning of summer, we use that day to celebrate and honor our veterans. Our city is full of those who served and are still serving our country, as there are many military bases nearby. Be sure to visit the Wall South, a lovely veteran’s memorial located in Veteran's Memorial Park.

    In June, we host one of the oldest and largest heritage festivals in the state — the Fiesta of Five Flags. This 10-day festival occurs every year to commemorate the founding of Pensacola. Spanish Conquistador Don Tristan de Luna established Pensacola as the first European settlement in the U.S in 1559. Since being established, we have flown five flags over the city to celebrate our multiple founding cultures: Spanish, French, British, Confederate and American. Visit Site

    Sertoma's 4th of July Celebration is one of the most spectacular events in the country. You won’t find a better place to celebrate Independence Day than downtown Pensacola.     You’re in for a treat when you come to the Blue Angels Pensacola Beach Air Show in July. During this action-packed show, you’ll witness thrilling stunts, heart-stopping maneuvers, and aerial acrobatics performed by the U.S. Navy's flight demonstration team, the Blue Angels, and other civilian and military aircraft.     Every year in September, you can enjoy food and fun at the Seafood Festival held in historic Seville Square in downtown Pensacola. There’s seafood every where you look, with a variety of dishes from 18 food vendors. There’s more to this festival than seafood though; it’s also one of the largest arts and crafts fairs in Northwest Florida. You can visit more than 180 arts and crafts vendors for unique goods and activities. When you’re done eating and crafting, watch live musical performances by local and regional acts or enhance your cooking skills with by watching live demonstrations.     Bring out the artist in you at the Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival, which takes place the first weekend in November. Held in historic Seville Square, this three-day event is one of the most highly regarded and popular arts festivals held in America. You’ll be able to purchase works from more than 200 of the nation’s best jewelers, painters, potters, sculptors, graphic artists, craftsmen, mixed-media artists, and more.  Visit Site

    Count down to the new year in historic downtown Pensacola. On December 31, all the streets are closed to host a New Year's celebration unlike any you’ve ever witnessed. Enjoy family oriented fun with live entertainment, delicious food, and numerous children’s activities. At the stroke of midnight, watch as the giant illuminated Pelican, which is perched above the city on a 100-foot platform, descends among an extravagant fireworks show.
